"La Riennaise"
The HOUSE
La Riennaise is a holiday home located in Rienne, a small village that is part of Gedinne, in the Belgian Ardennes close to the French border.
The traditional Ardennes country house was completely renovated in 2018 and offers all the modern comfort needed for a relaxing weekend or holiday.
The house has 8 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms and can accommodate up to 20 people. The house offers many possibilities for an active or relaxing holiday.
The GARDEN
Probably our most favorite part of the property!
The 2000m2 garden is an oasis of nature and relaxation. It features 2 large terraces, a number cozy corners, a pond full of animal life, and plenty of opportunities for relaxation, games and sports (BBQ, table tennis, football field, petanque field).
In addition, in front of the house, there is a communal playground for children.
Ample parking is also available, and a charging station for electric cars can be used.
The VILLAGE
Rienne is a small village that belongs to the municipality of Gedinne.
Rienne is a very quiet and calm place with very nice walking and cycling routes passing by the house.
Within walking distance you will find all necessary shops (butcher, bakery, small supermarket, pharmacy), a cafe, and a nice restaurant with a great terrace overlooking Lake Boiron.
In Gedinne, just 4 km away, you will find more restaurants, shops and larger supermarkets.
The REGION & ACTIVITIES
Gedinne is located in the "Ardennes Namuroises" and is located at the southernmost tip of the province of Namur. Gedinne is one of the most wooded villages in Belgium. More than half of the territory consists of woods and forests (both coniferous and deciduous forests). The woods provide the fantastic backdrop for beautiful walks and bike rides. In winter you can also go cross-country skiing.
During the Second World War there were many resistance activities in the area. Many traces of it can still be found today.
Gedinne is located between the Semois and the Lesse. Numerous activities such as canoeing or kayaking can be reached within 30 minutes of the house.
